Timothy Ball, Sr.

Tim Ball has been a licensed Public Adjuster since 1989.  Prior to forming a partnership with Greg Boyd, Tim worked with his brothers at Ball Brothers Adjustment Company.  Tim has extensive experience in assessing property damage claims, inventory calculation, reconstruction, business income, and extra expense losses.  Thousands of insurance claims have been negotiated to a successful resolution for his clients.  Tim is nominated frequently by his peers to assist in resolving disputed losses; he is known for never quitting before a fair result has been achieved.  Tim is an active member of the Massachusetts Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.  A graduate of Bridgewater State College, Tim lives in Cotuit, MA with his wife, Mary, and the youngest of their three sons.

 

Gregory Boyd

Prior to forming a partnership with Tim Ball, Greg Boyd was an independent insurance adjuster (serving insurers) from 1978-1989. He has been a licensed Public Adjuster since 1989 and worked as an adjuster with Coll, Sacchetti, and Associates in Plymouth, MA.  He has extensive experience appraising, estimating, and adjusting commercial and homeowner claims.  Greg has adjusted numerous catastrophe losses on the south shore with a major concentration on the Cape and Islands.  He is a qualified expert witness and has been before the Barnstable and Plymouth Superior Courts in Massachusetts testifying regarding various property damage losses.  A member of the Massachusetts Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, Greg is licensed in Massachusetts and Vermont.  A graduate of Bentley University, Greg resides in Sandwich, MA with his wife Pamela.

Jerad began with Ball & Boyd in 2007 and has been a licensed PA since 2009.  Prior to joining Ball & Boyd, Jerad was a field adjuster for a major insurance company.  Over the course of his tenure, Jerad has developed extensive expertise in the handling of residential and commercial insurance claims.  His construction background provides a thorough understanding of assessing property damage, the reconstruction process, and negotiation of claims.  Jerad’s experience allows him to communicate clearly and thoroughly with his clients as he guides them through the claim process.  Jerad graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Economics.  He resides with his wife, Nikki, and two sons in Mashpee.

Upon joining Ball and Boyd in 2010, Steve’s experience with property loss and insurance claims spanned nearly a decade.  Starting in 2002, he conducted site investigations to assess the extent of damage and potential exposures or liabilities resulting from the release or dispersal of oil and/or hazardous materials (OHM).  As a field investigator from 2005-2008 he completed cause and origin investigations for coverage determination and his exposure to property losses was broadened to include water damage, indoor air quality issues, and mold assessment.  As a project manager in the restoration industry from 2008-2010, Steve obtained certifications from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certifications (IICRC), Fire and Smoke Restoration (FSRT), and Water Restoration (WRT).  He was also certified by the Institute for Environmental Education (IEE) as a Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMR).  Steve has handled fire, flood, mold and OHM insurance claims ranging up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.  With his varied experiences in the insurance industry, he is adept at handling all facets of your property loss.  Steve Graduated from Fitchburg State College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  He currently resides with his wife, Amy, and their three children in Plymouth, MA.   Steve also holds a public adjuster’s license in Maine.

 Prior to joining Ball & Boyd Public Adjusters in 2014, Derek worked as an independent insurance adjuster (serving insurers) for more than a decade.  His knowledge and understanding of residential and commercial claims, and his exceptional professionalism and expertise in appraising, estimating, and adjusting has given Derek the competitive edge necessary to be successful in settling claims equitably. Derek’s competence in the insurance industry and his effectiveness in meeting his client’s needs are evident in his claims; ranging from the hundreds to the hundreds of thousands of dollars, including numerous catastrophe events throughout the United States.  Derek is licensed as a Public Adjuster in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is a graduate of Roger Williams University, and currently resides in Cumberland, Rhode Island with his son.

 Adrian joined Ball & Boyd in 2009, and is our resident business interruption specialist, in addition to being a handler of all types of claims.  The financial history of businesses can be very convoluted and difficult to piece together, and when an insurance loss occurs, the information must be sorted through to determine the Business Income Loss.  Adrian also writes building estimates and has expertise in the contents portion of insurance losses.  A graduate of Northeastern University with an MBA in Economics, Adrian resides in Mashpee, MA

 Tim started doing personal property inventories with his Dad at a very young age.  He still helps with those on occasion, but now routinely spends his days detailing building losses, preparing estimates, and analyzing the deficiencies in detailed offers made by insurers.  A 2012 graduate of Quinnipiac University with a degree in Health & Science Studies, Tim currently lives in Marstons Mills, MA

 Dan relocated his young family in 2015 in order to join Ball & Boyd.  He is responsible for the personal property inventory team in addition to handling all types of claims.  Dan’s team assesses and inventories all damaged property and compiles a detailed estimate for replacement of such property.  He also analyzes building and personal property settlement offers, as well as preparing and organizing depreciation holdback claims, and Loss of Use claims.  Dan graduated from Fitchburg State University with a degree in Business Management and lives in Cotuit, MA with his wife, Kaitlin, and their three children.

Mary Ball

 Mary has been Office Manager since 2008.  She and the rest of our clerical staff is instrumental in preparing personal property claims as well as analyzing and organizing documentation provided in the potential recovery of withheld depreciation, living expenses, and loss of rent claims.  These estimates are presented in a form familiar to insurance companies and their adjusters in order to make the process as smooth as possible.
